Membership Options

Senior Member

All Rowers, 18yrs and over - $500 (+ $100 Rowing Tas fee)

  • Full use of the club boats, ergos and gym equipment at the sole discretion of the Captain or in his absence, the Vice Captain;
  • Obtain a clubhouse key (if requested) to enable access to the equipment at their leisure, subject to approval by Club Captain;
  • Compete for the Club in all regattas including Rowing Tasmania Pennant Regatta’s; and
  • Vote at Club meetings in accordance with the Tamar Rowing Club Constitution.

Junior Member

Under 18 - $360 (+ $85 Rowing Tas fee)

  • Must provide proof of full-time student status and proof of age as at 31 December of the year they reach the age of 18;
  • Access to Club facilities to use showers, gym and boats/blades (as directed by Coach and or Club Captain);
  • This membership category is not entitled to obtain a clubhouse key unless they have a boat in storage;
  • Compete for the Club in all regattas including Rowing Tasmania Pennant Regatta’s; and
  • Vote at Club meetings in accordance with the Tamar Rowing Club Constitution.

Associate

Kayakers and Rowers who use their own sculls for recreational training but do not use Club Equipment – non-voting - $400 (+ $30 Rowing Tas fee)

  • Use of Club’s gym, ergos and boat storage;
  • Access to the facilities and may obtain a key by request to the Club Captain;
  • May store a kayak or scull at the sole discretion of the Club Captain; and If rowing, register with Rowing Tasmania for insurance purposes.

Social Member

Non-voting - $50

  • Members are included in social activities, newsletters and use of amenities area;
  • Social members are not entitled to use any Club equipment, nor vote at meetings under the Tamar Rowing Club Constitution

Coach

Membership including Rowing Tas registration/insurance – no charge (+ $30 Rowing Tas fee)

  • Does not pay a membership fee as such, in return for their coaching contribution;
  • They have access to the facilities and may obtain a key by request but may not row or race without paying rowing membership.
  • Vote at Club meetings in accordance with the Tamar Rowing Club constitution.

Six Month Block Payment

For those who wish to use the facilities for only part of the season - $250 (+ applicable Rowing Tas fee)

  • All benefits of the senior membership are applicable.

Volunteer

  • No charge, but must complete the registration form with Rowing Tasmania.

Interstate Membership

For those who do not live in Launceston but want to compete during the racing season. - $200 (+ applicable Rowing Tas fee)

  • All benefits of the senior membership are applicable.
